NJ DOL Employer Contribution Deadline Aug. 22nd!

The new rates were posted as early as July 23, and there’s a 30 day deadline (from the date of “mailing”) to make a voluntary contribution. In many circumstances a voluntary contribution represents an excellent opportunity…

Networking With Networkers

How many of us spend a portion of our time with netwoking goups such as BNI, LeTip, or other similar types? It is my experience that the "serious"networkers give these types of groups a chance, but normally leave after a year as they are giving, but not receiving.

In order for a network group to be successful, you must surround yourself with similar types of networkers who are willing to open up their contact lists up to the group. This can only be done if you, as a group member, are…

Local Web Marketing Strategies

The Internet contains a wealth of information. Anyone can type in a search query and in less than a second have results displayed literally from around the world. This is wonderful when one is just looking for information; but it is not so good if you are looking for someone who can do some interior painting or landscaping for your local business or residence. For the small business owner and contractor it is essential to have at least a basic understanding of local SEO strategies. Local web…

Long Term Care....Where do you want it

Given the choice, where would you choose to receive care if you needed it? Almost everyone asked would prefer to be cared for in the comfort and familiarity of their own home or, the home of a loved one.

Long Term care is usually not intensive, nursing home care. You may simply need assistance with putting on your socks, bathing or maybe being reminded to take your pills. But, the cost of this custodial care, not skilled care, is increasing at an incredible rate.

And, most…

If the two people sitting closest to you have normal blood pressure, chances are you don't!

According to both The American Heart Association and the Centers for Disease Control a whopping one in three Americans now have hypertension - high blood pressure.  What used to be a disease for grandfathers, is now showing up in everyone from college students to grandmothers.

The disease occurs when blood pumps too forcefully through your blood vessels. The great push of blood stretches veins and arteries out of shape. The vessels then tear and develop scar tissue as they try to…

Already Maxing out your 401(k)

Wish you could put away more and still get tax deferred growth? In 2011, the IRS limitation was 16,500, in 2012 it's 17,000. Hardly enough for many of the highly compensated.

Did you know that some life insurance plans can afford you to put away after tax dollars and get tax deferred growth and create a stream of retirement income all the while leaving a legacy to your loved ones?

Sound interesting?

I've been helping…
