Brag about yourself - what makes you great at what you do?
I began my career as an editor at The Orlando Sentinel and still get an adrenaline rush from deadline pressure. I "defected" to the advertising world, working for Orlando's Robinson, Yesawich & Pepperdine and for suburban Philly's Thomas J. Paul marketing services, where she wrote copy for Nabisco, M&M/Mars, Johnson & Johnson and more. I am accredited via the Public Relations Society of America and the International Association of Business Communicators. A senior copywriter, my focus is on e-commerce – SEO content, blog posts, email campaigns and banner ads.
What types of business contacts are you looking to make?
People ready to hire - or simply to network

Our paths once crossed, and now his path has come to an abrupt end

While the music world was mourning the loss of Whitney Houston, the literary world was mourning the loss of Jeff Zaslow.

Jeff Zaslow and I were mere acquaintances, but I can’t keep from getting choked up as I write this. The best-selling author was tragically killed Friday in a car accident on a snow-covered road in Michigan. Hi Darcy,
I don't have anything for you...I'm doing this as a part-time side business.
As a suggestion, go to www.thealternativepress.com and look at the Lower Providence and North Penn pages...you want to consider going into business for yourself by buying a TAP franchise. You can contact the editor the sites I mentioned, Melissa is a former Patch editor. All franchises are independently owned. They run about $3000-$7000 the first depending on the size of the town(s) you cover.
The owner of the company is Mike Shapiro, yid of course.
Sounds like you have the right skill sets to be successful.
You can call me at 973.985.9245 if have any questions.
Good luck
Marc
