I have 30 years experience as a broad based international banker culminating in being a member of Standard Chartered Group's Executive Committee. I am known to be a highly successful, engaging, well rounded international business professional with exemplary leadership, communication and influencing skills and a legally trained and analytical mind. I have a track record of transforming businesses to generate sustainable attractive returns in complex, multinational & multinational business environments.

I have depth and breadth of banking experience in the UK, Thailand, the Philippines and New Zealand holding a range of CEO/Board, business and global functional roles. I am known to have excellent leadership and inter-personal skills and public company board experience. I have strong knowledge of regulatory, legal, compliance and other control issues. I have experience and interest in a broad range of human resources areas including coaching, talent development, organisational design, employee enagement, resourcing and reward. I excel at inspiring individuals and motivating teams to perform at their very best.

I provide high quality executive coaching to senior individuals and those aspiring to C-suite positions with experience coaching individuals from many different nationalities. Clients say that that I have excellent listening skills and ask thought provoking question which enable clients to look at issues from different perspectives.

I am a non executive director at WH Smith PLC (serving its Audit & Risk, Remuneration and Nomination Committees), Santander UK PLC (serving its Risk, Remuneration & Audit Committees) and Ladbrokes Coral PLC (serving its Audit & Risk, Nomination, Remuneration and Social responsibility Committees from 1 March 2017). I am also Chair of the UK Listing Authority Advisory Panel (the body that advises the Financial Conduct Authority on listings and governance issues).
